Client Spotlight: Jennifer Scherer, President of Fredericksburg Fitness Studio

What do you love most about what you do? I love helping my clients realize their true potential. Many clients come to us full of self-doubt and over time, with persistence and determination, become stronger and more confident than they ever could have imagined.

Was there a person or experience that inspired your career? My parents. They put a high value on living (and loving) a healthy lifestyle. They brought me to the gym 5x/week, encouraged and supported me to play sports, and served as role models for having a healthy relationship with food.

What does your business do better than anyone else?

I would have to say our combined staff experience and the private one-on-one atmosphere. Our staff hold nationally accredited certifications and specialize in medical exercise, senior fitness, sport-specific training for athletes, Titleist Golf Performance, massage therapy, Reformer/Tower/Chair Pilates, acupressure, and Registered Dietitian services. You can truly transform your life under the guidance of our professional and caring staff.

What do you wish you could change?

I wish health insurance included more preventative measures in their coverage to include an annual functional movement screening and gait analysis to detect muscular imbalances. This would allow them to understand the proper exercises they should perform to prevent injuries in the future.

Tell us about you!

My favorite activities are spending time and traveling with my boyfriend, family, and friends. I am working toward my black belt in Muay Thai. I love exploring new hiking trails, kayaking, swimming, and cycling. I am training for my first triathlon this year!
